However, the examples provided for each version are written for the specified computer programming language. All versions of WSC use the same DLLs (WSC32.DLL and WSC64.DLL). The WSC functions can be called from applications not capable of using controls. The WIN32/WIN64 versions of WSC are fully thread safe. WSC does NOT depend on ActiveX or Microsoft Foundation Class (MFC) libraries or similar 'support' libraries.

A Win32 DLL is included (Win64 DLL is available). WSC4FP is a standard Windows DLL (NOT an OCX or ActiveX control) and is much smaller than a comparable OCX or ActiveX control. WSC also supports virtual serial ports using Bluetooth serial and USB to serial converters.
